For this assignment, we had to pick an important issue for the bill. The issue must be a current problem spreading throughout the nation. Students should treat the bill as if it were a real bill soon to became a law. In the bill there is six sections that must be complete and detailed. Section two must use information to convince the audience and show that the problem is worth making a law for. This section should include a lot numbers and statistics. Section three is about who the bill impacts. Does this bill impact business', the public, animals or anyone in specific? Section four states what the bill is doing. If the bill became a law when specifically would it start? What are the fines if the law was broken? This section should be very specific. Section five is who is enforcing the law. What federal agency is in charge of this act? Section six explains where the funding would come from. How much is this going to cost? Who is funding? Where is the funding going ? The bill is graded on the relevance and quality of the information, data, and statistics included.

I chose this work sample because this is the first time I've done a bill. I support my bill to actually became a law in real life. My bill is to make it a federal law to recycle. There are a ton of issues about recycling in 2020. The current recycling system could be better and more effective if people actually started to recycle. Recycling is a quick and easy task, just people always skip it and don't understand the true effects of not recycling.
The 21st century skills in the bill is informational skills, civil literacy & engagement, and financial, economic, & business literacy skills. This bill is something that must be run through the government. If it were to become a law it would impact the nation and earth. I researched the numbers and statistics to support my bill.
The challenge of creating a bill was researching and finding convincing information to support my bill. There are many bias websites and false information on the internet. For my issue there is a very limited amount of websites that contained the data I needed. The research on completing my bill really expanded my knowledge on the affects. The affects on our health, our homes, and the earth itself.
I wouldn't change much about my bill. Although if I were to change something about it, i'd look more into the government agencies and departments. If there were more information and data about the agencies I named, my bill would have been even more convincing and reliable.
