In physics, we were assigned partners and the task was to research two labs, Newton’s cradle and egg drop. Part one started with Newton’s cradle, each pair of students had a different way of creating the product. The goal was to make sure that other students can successfully do this lab.
Informational, Interpersonal, and Communication skills were applied in this assignment. We thought it’d be best to divide and conquer the work. Katelyn researched a lab design for Newton’s cradle and I researched a design for the egg drop. During the experiment, we communicated a lot and there were trials and tribulations. The most difficult part of this assignment was having to do the lab. We weren’t fully prepared for the lab, so we used mancala pieces. That was a reason to the failure. We decided to redo a part of the experiment. Another problem was that I mistakenly threw away six “8 strings that were crucial to the cradle. We started at step two, cutting six pieces of string. We worked together rather than the previous attempt where we separated the work. It was more efficient and less time. We replaced the mancala pieces with actual marbles. It worked like a charm. |
